Why we are not very fond of Vinyl Fence?

Wood fence hugging the contours of the yard
Wood fence hugging the contours of the yard

You know why we love wood fences? And you know why we are not very fond of vinyl fences. Here is the reason. As you can see in the above picture, wood fence gives the most flexibility and the best results for our customers. Here you can see that the fence is hugging the contours of the yard. Imagine doing this with a pre-fabricated vinyl fence.

We like wood fences over vinyl due to many other reasons also. Even good quality vinyl will deteriorate and become brittle due to exposure to sun’s ultra violet rays. More over vinyl fence is still more expensive than wood.

What is face nailing?

Face nailing is a technique in which the fence panels are directly nailed to the posts and runners without using clamps or tecos. The advantage of this approach is that there will be a very good flat exposed side without any appearance of the posts and the frame. But the posts and the frame will show on the other side. Unlike a Wyngate fence, a face nailed fence is not a neighbor friendly fence.
